Area

A team of our architects and urbanists developed a concept to expand the pedestrian space of the central part of Lviv by adding Nyzhankivskoho Street to the existing one. The idea was to connect it through Halytska Square, which is closed to car traffic on weekends and holidays. On weekdays, this pedestrian space can become a secluded pedestrian magnet.

The very charismatic street has long been in a state of disrepair due to an abandoned construction site, chaotic parking, lack of quality landscaping and lighting, which has marginalized a piece of valuable urban fabric in the heart of the city.

This project could be realized by deconserving the construction site and adding tourist and business functions to this location, and by injecting investment to reconstruct the street and turn it into a pedestrian street.
