Recently, a team of Ukrainian architects — including our colleagues from AVR Development, Daniiel Fanta and Oleksandr Perenovskyi — won first place in the national architectural competition Rebuild Ukraine Hackathon: Resilient Cities. They participated on behalf of the Lviv Polytechnic National University. This achievement was featured in a news segment by the Pershyi Zakhidnyi TV channel.
Rebuild Ukraine Hackathon: Resilient Cities is a nationwide competition focused on developing architectural and urban planning solutions for the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities, especially Kherson, which suffered severe destruction due to the war. The competition was organized by WZMH Architects, Sparkbird, Giraffe, and Autodesk Forma.
Participants were tasked with designing projects that integrated residential, commercial, public spaces, and parks — with a strong focus on resilience and innovation.
The winning team included:
- Daniiel Fanta (Lviv Polytechnic National University)
- Oleksandr Perenovskyi (O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv)
- Iryna Ostashevska (Lviv Polytechnic National University)
- Liliya Voroshchuk (Lviv Polytechnic National University)
Their project was praised by the jury for its innovative approach to rebuilding urban environments, addressing community needs, and demonstrating resilience to future challenges.
This achievement is a vivid example of the high level of architectural education in Ukrainian universities, especially at Lviv Polytechnic. The university continues to shape specialists capable of tackling complex challenges in contemporary architecture and urbanism at the international level.
We at AVR Development sincerely congratulate Daniiel Fanta and Oleksandr Perenovskyi on this outstanding victory. We are proud to have such talented and dedicated professionals on our team. Their success inspires us toward new achievements and reaffirms the professionalism of our company.
